On Sunday, the pharmacy chain announced that it has filed for bankruptcy and obtained $3.45 billion in fresh financing as it carries out a restructuring plan while coping with falling sales and opioid-related lawsuits.
The "prevailing norm" in corporate America is "governance is lacking, resources are misaligned, and enterprises fly blind to their most critical cybersecurity risks, putting the company and shareholders on uncertain ground," said Scott Kannry, CEO of the cyber-risk engineering firm Axio.
"Be wary," Duane Morris Partner Gerald Maatman said. "The NLRB has employer practices on the radar screen, and assumptions about well-settled labor decisions are now being reexamined."
Workers using personal devices for work has opened up a huge new pathway for cyber criminals to gain access to sensitive company data – 91% of data security professionals see high risk implications from remote work, says a new report.
Employers should be careful that their policies and practices cannot be construed as 'meddling' when employees attempt to assert their diversity, LGBTQ+, ADA and other protected rights, according to a new report.
That's a real possibility, according to some employment attorneys and regulatory experts, with the push potentially coming from state attorneys general rather than the federal government.
Corporate leaders are also worried about backlash, attrition and turnover in an employee market.
