The Obama administration won a reversal of a court ruling that would have shielded a Christian college from a provision of the Affordable Care Act requiring religious nonprofits to indirectly facilitate contraceptive coverage even if they oppose the use because of their faith.
Republicans in July voted to sue over the Affordable Care Act, and today claimed in a complaint filed in Washington federal court that the president exceeded his powers when he delayed one of the measures central requirements without a vote of Congress.
After clocking out, Amazon workers endure an airport-style screening process, including metal detectors, to make sure they arent stealing from the Web retailer. Getting through the line often took as long as 25 minutes, uncompensated.
A divided U.S. Supreme Court debated whether companies can assert religious rights, hearing arguments in an ideological clash over President Barack Obamas health-care law and rules that promote contraceptive coverage.
A retired doctor and six others are alleging Novants plan saw a more than 10-fold increase in fees over three years and contains costly investment choices.
