- Nearly 70 percent of employers mailed printed enrollment materials to employees' homes, down from 76 percent in 2008.
- Almost one-quarter of employers plan to eliminate printed enrollment materials next year.
- Internet (88 percent) and e-mail (76 percent) were the most popular method of communication for open enrollment, but 27 percent of employers experimented with interactive communication, like podcasts, Web videos and online chat.
