According to Capgemini's 2011 U.S. Metro Wealth Index, the total population of U.S. HNW individuals living in metro areas increased by 7.3 percent in 2010, with the highest growth rates shown in Houston (9.6 percent), Los Angeles (8.8 percent), New York (7.9 percent) and Washington, D.C.
