Management Concepts Inc., a provider of federal government training programs, and the Society for Human Resource Management are partnering to develop and offer a new HR training curriculum specifically developed for federal agencies.

With this joint effort, federally employed HR professionals will have access to the newly developed SHRM courses, and Management Concepts will deliver the course curriculum through instructor-led federal government training programs.

"For years, SHRM has provided extensive HR training to companies and other institutions around the world," says Henry Jackson, SHRM's president and CEO. "We look forward to working with Management Concepts to provide federal sector HR professionals with our in-depth HR training programs."

Six courses will be offered during the launch, focusing on federal market HR, talent acquisition and development, HR as strategic business partner, building credibility in HR, human capital effectiveness metrics and work force planning. Development of future courses will be based on incorporating SHRM's HR knowledge and Management Concepts' government training experience with the growing needs of the federal HR professional.

"Management Concepts has always provided federal agencies expert training on critical topics, and with the increase in nonfederal HR professionals hired into government, it seems the perfect fit to leverage SHRM's private sector HR knowledge with Management Concepts public sector training expertise to offer agencies powerful knowledge previously not available to them," says Tom Dungan, CEO of Management Concepts.
