In the second year of aggressive recruiting, New York Life has announced that it hopes to hire as many as 3,700 new financial professionals, with a special focus on hiring women and those who serve the country's growing ethnic markets.

Last year saw more than 3,600 new agents hired by the company, and nearly 60 percent of the new hires were women or agents with specific knowledge and connection to ethnic markets.

Former military enlistees who are transitioning back into the civilian workforce are also a focus of the company's recruitment efforts and programs.
