8) Orlando, Fla.

Large Health Policies: 95

Adjusted Median Broker Compensation: $30,847

Just a quick drive from #10 Tampa, Orlando's health insurance market will ensure that you can always buy the kids tickets to Disney. On second thought, given how much tickets to Disney World cost, maybe I should bump Orlando out of the top 20.

7) Norcross, Ga.

Large Health Policies: 59

Adjusted Median Broker Compensation: $31,110

Despite captaining my junior high geography team, I'd never heard of Norcross. Turns out Waffle House HQ is nearby. Who knew?

Adjusted Median Broker Compensation: $32,766

You'll be able to keep Austin truly weird while raking in the cash and spending it on delicious BBQ.

5) Overland Park, Kan.

Large Health Policies: 54

Adjusted Median Broker Compensation: $33,123

This is another city that consistently wins "best of" awards: best city to live, best city to raise your kids, best city to grow up, etc. And now, #5 best city to be a health broker.

4) Baton Rouge, La.

Large Health Policies: 66

Adjusted Median Broker Compensation: $33,655

Baton Rouge. Red Stick. Yeah.

3) Boca Raton, Fla.

2) Kansas City, Mo.

Adjusted Median Broker Compensation: $36,768

Between Austin at No. 6, Raleigh at No. 11, Louisville at No. 9, and now Kansas City in the coveted No. 2 spot, I'm sensing a real correlation between great broker compensation and excellent barbecue. As an avid pitmaster myself, I have to say that this warrants further study.

But first, on to the No. 1 best city in the US for health insurance brokers…

1) Chattanooga, Tenn.

Large Health Policies: 65

Adjusted Median Broker Compensation: $43,669

Wow. Not only does Chattanooga win the top spot on the list, they're also the only city to crack the $40k barrier. According to Forbes, they're the 8th best "Bang for Your Buck" city in the US, so your commissions will go that much farther when you attend the annual Chattanooga Dulcimer Festival.
