More than 80 percent of Americans say they would switch positions to attain their dream careers, according to a USA Network poll.

Seventy-nine percent of Americans say they are not passionate about their jobs, and 80 percent of respondents report that they have considered leaving their current positions for other opportunities. Eighty-six percent of respondents say they work to pay bills and survive, and 13 percent of respondents consider themselves lucky to be living to work.

Among respondents who say they are in their dream jobs, only 20 percent started their careers in that role. Meanwhile, 63 percent of respondents say they would pick other opportunities if money weren't an issue.

Sixty-one percent of older female respondents report that fear keeps them away from their dream jobs, and 48 percent of young male respondents agree. If their dream jobs were offered, 89 percent of young male respondents say they would accept the position.

Most respondents say they would leave their current positions if they won the lottery. Specifically, 42 percent of respondents say they would find different jobs, 32 percent of respondents say they would completely quit working, and 25 percent of respondents say they would stay in their current roles. Forty-seven percent of younger respondents say they would be more likely to take on new careers, while 38 percent of older respondents would leave the work force.

Most respondents say they work around the clock, and two-thirds say think about their jobs even when they're not in the workplace. Twenty-eight percent of respondents with full-time jobs say they have to work at home if they are to complete all responsibilities.
