When we founded VISICOR in 2008, the objective was simple:challenge the status quo within our industry. We believe in beingdisruptive and not only thinking “outside the box” but expandingthe boundaries and making the box larger than people thoughtpossible. We believe in raising the bar of expectation in all areasand doing whatever it takes to exceed those expectations.

Finally, we believe in building long-term relationships bydelivering value to those relationships on a daily basis. Ourmission was, and remains, simple: We want to do more, provide more,and shoulder the burden in all areas of employee benefits, whichincludes compliance, consulting, communication andadministration.

Due to our rapid growth and industry recognition, we wereapproached by a number of firms about a potential acquisition. Butthe fit was never right—until we met with Anthony Gruppo at Marsh& McLennan Agency. Anthony, serving as the Southwest DivisionCEO, outlined the growth plans for MMA and their vision for theemployee benefits market. It was the first time someone described avision that matched mine—100 percent. After a detailed duediligence process, Visicor became a Marsh & McLennan Agencyeffective May 16, and we couldn't be more excited. The entireVisicor team joined MMA and I became a part of Anthony's executiveleadership team as President, Employee Benefits; SouthwestDivision.
