When we founded VISICOR in 2008, the objective was simple: challenge the status quo within our industry. We believe in being disruptive and not only thinking “outside the box” but expanding the boundaries and making the box larger than people thought possible. We believe in raising the bar of expectation in all areas and doing whatever it takes to exceed those expectations.

Finally, we believe in building long-term relationships by delivering value to those relationships on a daily basis. Our mission was, and remains, simple: We want to do more, provide more, and shoulder the burden in all areas of employee benefits, which includes compliance, consulting, communication and administration.

Due to our rapid growth and industry recognition, we were approached by a number of firms about a potential acquisition. But the fit was never right—until we met with Anthony Gruppo at Marsh & McLennan Agency. Anthony, serving as the Southwest Division CEO, outlined the growth plans for MMA and their vision for the employee benefits market. It was the first time someone described a vision that matched mine—100 percent. After a detailed due diligence process, Visicor became a Marsh & McLennan Agency effective May 16, and we couldn't be more excited. The entire Visicor team joined MMA and I became a part of Anthony's executive leadership team as President, Employee Benefits; Southwest Division.

Joining MMA will allow Visicor to continue pushing the boundaries within our industry and provide our clients with resources that would simply not have been possible as an independent employee benefits firm. The resources available through MMA, Marsh and Mercer are simply unparalleled. VISICOR, as a Marsh & McLennan Agency, is now in a position to spread our message beyond what would have been possible on our own.
