Cyber crime is a major concern of small business. Without the internal resources to mitigate threats and the legal protection to pursue data and financial reconciliation, small businesses can be crippled by cyber security exploits.
Pew Research Internet Project (www.pewinternet.org), which has been conducting research and surveys on cyber attacks since 2004, released the results of its latest research on October 29, 2014.
The report noted that among the most common types of exploits are stolen national ID numbers, pilfered passwords and payment information, erased online identifies, and espionage tools that record on-line conversations.
