Standard Insurance Company recently announced that it will be launching an Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) occupational assistance service, the first of its kind in the industry, according to the company. The feature helps employees who have experienced an AD&D loss to return to work and lead productive lives.

"For the first time, a service is available to those who have experienced an AD&D loss that provides more than just a reimbursement. Our team of vocational, nurse and behavioral health consultants are available to help assess each individual's needs for returning to work and execute on a plan that is customized and therefore more effective," The Standard's marketing product manager Jennifer Gassaway said in a press release. "The service doesn't simply help an employee — the employer benefits as well, as the employer is more likely to see the return of a valued employee, avoiding the loss of expertise and having to hire."
