In fact, veterans deserve—and can use—some extra help in a lot of the challenges that lie ahead. To that end, Military Times has taken a look at the post-separation employment picture to find companies that offer vets the best possible opportunities or help in resettling into civilian private sector employment. Related: 5 best, 5 worst cities for veterans Employers were asked to fill out "a 90-question survey evaluating their culture, recruitment and policies for veterans, service members and military families," the report says, including policies for military-connected families and resources they devote to hiring veterans. When the results were tabulated, 100 companies across 30 industries were scored depending on how vet-friendly they are.
