Warren Buffett, chairman of Berkshire Hathaway and a newcomer to the industry, memorably sized upthe situation. “The ballooning costs of health care act as a hungrytapeworm on the American economy,” he famously said in a recentstatement. “Our group does not come to this problem with answers.But we also do not accept it as inevitable.”
