What can be said about the kinds of attributes it takes to be on this year's 100 Best Companies to Work For, compiled by Fortune and Great Place to Work?

"Inclusion has become the gold standard for employee-centric companies. The bar rises every year," Fortune writes. "And no, workplace happiness is not a myth."

Companies with 1,000 or more employees vying to be on the annual list submit an application to Great Place to Work, documenting more than 200 data points describing their HR programs and practices. In addition, their employees responded to more than 60 survey questions describing the extent to which their organization creates a "Great Place to Work For All."
