While a large number of benefits packages already included these tools and products among their options, COVID brought them to the forefront, as plan members delved more deeply into their benefits, looking for virtual health care options. And fueled by the success of basics such as telemedicine and telebehavioral health, plan designers and employers quickly developed an appetite for other virtual-first health benefits.
