Marcus

1. Funky southern comfort

Celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson just opened his first restaurant in Atlanta, Marcus Bar and Grille. Located in the Old Fourth Ward, it's a vibrant and funky neighborhood bar and grill serving up southern comfort with flavors that Samuelsson is known for. They've got a giant wood oven and wood-fired grill at the heart of the restaurant, which is serving up brown sugar wings, Old Bay crab cakes and brisket over fries.

In just a few weeks, you'll get a chance to finally see your industry peers in person and catch up on the latest trends and strategies in the benefits industry at BenefitsPRO Broker Expo in Atlanta (May 8-10). And, after three years of pandemic restrictions, we also have the chance to enjoy each other's company over good food and creative cocktails. While Atlanta is known for delicious fried chicken, mouth-watering barbecue and hearty meat-and-threes (a hearty plate of your choice of meat – fried chicken, ham, country-fried steak, meatloaf and pork chops), there's also a growing craft beer scene and diverse international cuisine. This vibrant city with classic Southern charms offers up some exciting and unique venues, as well as some top-notch traditional dining options.
