One in three brand-name drugs now missing from employer health menus

Avalere used Clarivate formulary data to analyze inclusion rates for brand-name drugs in eight major categories.
Between 2016 and 2025, the employer plan formulary inclusion rate for the drugs dropped to 64%, from 83%.
At all commercial plans analyzed, the inclusion rate was 75% for GLP-1agonists, 57% for multiple drugs and 45% for multiple myeloma drugs.
