The plaintiffs allege that Change Health said that "'electronic payment functionality will be available for connection beginning March 15,'" and that they would "'reestablish connectivity to [their] claims network and software on March 18, restoring service through the week.'" However, those promises have gone unfulfilled, according to the plaintiffs.
A Chicago-area mental health provider, who had to get money out of her retirement account to make payroll, and a Mississippi-based obstetrician and gynecological office, filed separate suits against the health care tech firm.
Several municipal employee benefit funds filed a lawsuit against the two drugmakers over allegations the companies colluded to delay the introduction of a less-expensive generic version of Merck's cholesterol drug Zetia.
The retailer's USA Drug pharmacy allegedly began selling commonly-prescribed generic drugs to its uninsured customers at low prices, but charged Medicare and Medicaid much higher prices for the same drug.
A candidate interviewing for a position with CVS Health has alleged that he and other interviewees were subjected to an artificial intelligence-powered lie detector test without the appropriate notification.
Although the insurer lost its legal battle because of an "indirect purchaser" rule, Humana alleged Biogen made unlawful donations to charities to help fund patient copays to increase its number of prescriptions and sales.
After a woman was denied life insurance benefits as the beneficiary in her late husband's policy, she sued his employer, who the judge said failed to meet its legal obligations by not informing her she could continue to pay premiums.
U.S. attorneys responded a legal challenge on Monday saying the petitioners have jumped the gun on their request.
