We had to pass the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to know what was in it, and we had to implement it to know what was wrong. Now, how will we know it is actually working?
As it turns out, policy cancellations will affect less than 4 percent of Americans those who buy individual health insurance directly, rather than the 80 percent who get it from their jobs or government programs, or the 15 percent who have no health insurance at all.
I think we can all agree that health is a key part of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, yet millions remain uninsured due to the design of our system.
Benefits professionals have significant communication challenges in breaking through the years of misinformation and mistrust out there, to try to explain a complex (and poorly written) health care law to a hostile public.
