As medical and pharmacy expenses climb, large employers are adjusting plan design, limiting drug spending growth, and expanding targeted support like caregiving and financial wellness benefits.

This increase reflects the convergence of several powerful forces reshaping the health care landscape, according to a PWC report.

The move could add to premium increases for sponsors of fully insured group health plans.

Eight in 10 voters are concerned about health insurers denying or delaying doctor-ordered treatments.

But workers with income from $500,000 to $1 million are the ones most likely to get employer cash.

"The debate around GLP-1 coverage is a prime example of the balancing act benefits leaders face as they navigate skyrocketing demand, affordability concerns and uncertainty around long-term patient outcomes," said Morgan Lee, vice president of research and marketing at Pharmaceutical Strategies Group.
