While benefits themselves can be complex, many of the issues HR teams face stem from their current technology solution.

While “many technology vendors are working to build AI agents,” numerous solutions are actually rebrands of existing products meant to capture buyers’ attention, says Eser Rizaoglu, senior director analyst in Gartner’s HR Practice.

"While 28% of companies currently require employees to be in the office five days a week, only 16% of leaders think that should be the standard" said the study.

The study found that 62% of respondents have an especially strong preference for human support when discussing sensitive life events.
