The EBRI's 2013 Retirement Confidence Survey found that fewer than half of workers surveyed have ever tried to calculate what they need to save for a comfortable retirement and thats not a new finding in a survey that now spans nearly a quarter-century.

A white paper produced on behalf of The Center for Due Diligence offers fiduciaries a dozen best practices when working with tactical asset allocation strategies.

The good news? It had a banner year last year, with almost a 13 percent return on investments for 2012.

More than half of those surveyed said they are putting away the same amount now as they were a year ago. Of those remaining, 18 percent said theyve increased their savings rate and 17 percent have decreased it.
