The U.S. Department of Labor's Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans, also known as the ERISA Advisory Council, will hold a public meeting on Nov. 8 and 9 at Labor Department headquarters, 200 Constitution Ave. NW, Washington, D.C. 20210.

The meeting will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. in room C-5515-1A on Tuesday, Nov. 8. On Wednesday, Nov. 9, the council will meet from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in room S-2508. At the meeting, advisory council members will finalize recommendations to present to the secretary of labor on current challenges and best practices for Employee Retirement Income Security Act compliance for 403(b) plan sponsors; hedge funds and private equity investments; and privacy and security issues affecting employee benefit plans (other than health care plans).

Assistant Secretary of Labor Phyllis C. Borzi also will give an update on EBSA activities on Nov. 9.
