Severe weather is forcing the ERISA Advisory Council to reschedule its meeting that was to be held Oct. 30-31.  The Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans will meet Nov. 26-27 instead. The location of that meeting has yet to be determined.

The council consists of 15 members appointed by the Secretary of Labor. Three members are representatives of employee organizations; three members are representatives of employers; three members are representatives of the general public; and there is one representative each form the fields of insurance, corporate trust, actuarial counseling, investment counseling, investment management and accounting.

Members are appointed for three-year terms with five terms expiring on Dec. 31 of each year. The council holds at least four meetings a year which are open to the public.
