Here's the latest on new and enhanced employee benefits andretirement products.

ConnectYourCareannounced that its health savings accounts, health care anddependent care flexible spending accounts, and commuter and parkingbenefits—will be made available on the ZeroPEPM benefits platformfrom CommonCensus. Brokersand employers opting for ConnectYourCare services via ZeroPEPM willaccess to the CommonCensus Benefits Operating System, whichincludes online, offline, call center, and self-service enrollmentoptions.

HealthSavings Administrators and Orion AdvisorServices, LLC announced a strategic partnership to empower RIAsto integrate HSAs into retirement planning services for theirclients.The HealthSavings and Orion integration allows RIAs tomanage their clients' HSAs in the same dashboard as otherinvestment accounts – IRAs, 401(k)s and more. RIAs can accessclients' HSAs as part of their existing Orion portfoliointerface.

First ChoiceHealth announced it will offer a prescription opioid use reportfree to employers in the Puget Sound area. The report will helpidentify high rates of opioid use which can be associated withpotential misuse and addiction among employees. To be eligible toobtain the free report, companies must employ more than 200 peopleand be located in the greater Puget Sound area.

SoFiannounced the addition of 529 contributions to their SoFi at Workprogram, as well as a forthcoming selection tool. With the 529selection tool, employees will be able to input basic informationabout their expected college costs and household financial statusand receive a personalized recommendation for two college savingsplans. Employees will also be able to link their existing 529 planswith SoFi's portal and make contributions from their paychecks.

A new supplemental health portfolio from Unum includes newAccident and Critical Illness products with more coverage andfeatures aimed at aligning the onboarding, billing, andadministrative experience with group life and disability products.Unum also redesigned its existing Accident and Critical Illnessproducts to extend the coverage. These plans feature a wellnessbenefit with more options for covered screenings and broadercoverage for children.

Reflektive revamped its entire Performancesolution to include structured Conversation Starters. Thisfeature aims to help new and seasoned managers alike to engageemployees in a meaningful and consistent way. Managers andemployees can collaborate through Reflektive, email, Slack ormobile to set agendas for discussions. They can also trackconversations by date and follow up on items they need torevisit.

Change Healthcare announced Claims Lifecycle AI fordenials within Change Healthcare's claims management suite,including Assurance Reimbursement Management (for hospitals andhealth systems, billing services, and other providers) and RevenuePerformance Advisor (for physician practices, labs, home health,medical billing services vendors, and other providers). Itis designed to help providers of any size proactivelyidentify problem claims that could result in denials, and remediatepotential issues before the claims are filed.

RFP360 announcedthe release of its Marketplace360 solution—a feature on its RFP360unified platform, currently offered at no additional cost tocustomers. Marketplace360 was designed with the aim of being asimple and efficient way for buyers and sellers to connect.Withinthe platform, users can identify, organize and manage potentialvendors, maintain a robust centralized knowledge base and more.

Financial Engines introduced Fiduciary DistributionReview. The service is designed to help employees make informeddecisions about their separation benefits, retirement plandistribution choices, and in-plan income options. FiduciaryDistribution Review gives departing employees private, one-on-onemeetings with a Financial Engines financial planner.

The New School's Retirement Equity Lab launched a new podcast,Reset Retirement. Host Teresa Ghilarducci,labor economist and professor at The New School, talks to people ofall ages about their efforts to save for retirement, and to expertswho discuss how to change policy to improve retirement security.Episodes can be found on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher or otherpodcast platforms.

CEFEXannounced the CEFEX Independent Assessment Report (IAR). For plansponsors, the IAR offers a way to document the selection andmonitoring of their service providers. The IAR serves as acomprehensive expert analysis, which should be stored in theirfiduciary file as a permanent record.The new reports are availablefor renewal assessments conducted after May 1, 2019.

HR Cloudand LoanBuddyhave formed an alliance to offer a comprehensive student loanwellness app with a no-cost first-year subscription to qualifiedemployers who want to offer their employees the advantage ofstudent loan benefits.  ​​

Trupoannounced the launch of three new insurance products forindependent workers: Accident Insurance, Dental Insurance, andSpecified Disease and Cancer Insurance. Trupo is now available inNew York, with underwriting from Paul Revere Life InsuranceCompany, a subsidiary of Colonial Life & Accident InsuranceCompany.

Businessolver has expanded its MyChoice Market toextend benefits access to part-time employees.The suite of benefitscan be taken with them should they change jobs or reach the end ofa contract. Employers can now offer part-time employees access tobenefits through their existing Benefitsolver platform. Employeeswho elect MyChoice Market plans cover the costs of the benefitsthey choose, with no required employer contributions.

The Guardian Life Insurance Company ofAmerica announced new Accident Insurance benefitsincluding Injury-Free Benefit, which pays the employee a cashbenefit if their family is claim-free for 5 years, and Rainy DayFund, which pays up to $500 annually to cover costs that areinsurable by an individual policy but are not covered by the policydue to limitations.
