July is here, the season of virtual conferences, virtual meetings, and virtual summer camp. Employee benefits and retirement and financial industry vendors have been busy updating and creating new tools and products. Here are the latest product announcements to cross our virtual desk:
Workplace Options announced the launch of its Adapt organizational resilience questionnaire. The questionnaire is designed to measure employee and management experiences during the quarantine stage of the COVID-19 pandemic and readiness for future changes. Once employees and managers have completed the questionnaire, the data is compiled in a comprehensive report with specific recommended actions for organizations relating to employee engagement and health. The tool can be paired with additional consultation from Workplace Options, including support programs, training for managers or employees and policy development.
Topia announced the launch of its Next Generation Global Talent Mobility Suite, which includes integrations across vendors such as Workday and ADP, as well as to companies in immigration, tax, financial services, logistics, and more. With the recent acquisition of Monaeo, HR professionals can see a global view of where their mobile population is in real time, create global talent scenarios and share the forecasts. It also includes Topia Go, an app that manages document workflows and dynamic task lists for employees and their families and provides in-depth city guides to help relocation and employee onboarding.
Radiant RFID is deploying return-to-work strategies using its Bluetooth Low Energy technology and a smartwatch to detect and encourage proper social distancing through real-time notifications. Workers receive real-time notifications via vibrations and color-coded messages on company-issued wearables to notify them of proximity to coworkers. Employers can review workplace interaction history, and the resultant contact tracing. All data is aggregated anonymously using Radiant's cloud-based system to ensure worker privacy. The technology is built on Radiant's Virtual Asset Tracker, which companies and public agencies rely on for large-scale daily asset tracing.
Prudential and Welltok announced that Prudential's financial wellness content, tools and access to its solutions will be delivered within Welltok's total well-being solution.Solutions and tools provided by Prudential via Welltok include those that manage day-to-day finances, setting and achieving financial goals and protecting against key money risks. For those who want additional help, Welltok will connect them to Prudential solutions.
BNY Mellon Investment Management announced a new partnership with Wilshire Associates to launch the BNY Mellon Investment Management Custom Target Date Builder, an advisor platform. Retirement plan advisors can design and build turnkey custom target date solutions, access institutional quality research and glide path management expertise, combine active and passive in low-cost mutual funds and Collective Investment Trusts, develop portfolios that include 18 asset classes and more.
Lex Machina announced the COVID-19 Impact Analyzer App. The COVID-19 App aims to help people understand how COVID-19 has affected federal district litigation. The COVID App provides data and analytics regarding new total case filings; new case filings by practice area; findings; complaints that mention COVID-19 or related terms. Users can search the data by week, beginning the week of February 24, 2020, and compare the data against previous years. A version of the COVID App is available to members of the general public as well as subscribers.
Fitbit announced its new Ready for Work solution, which gives employees access to key health metrics from their Fitbit device along with exposure, symptom and temperature logging, within a Daily Check-In feature that provides guidance on whether to go into the workplace. Employees will have access to Fitbit Care's suite of services, including weekly webinars, podcasts, videos and other content from Fitbit health coaches. Employers can offer their employees the opportunity to enroll in Fitbit Health Coaching and work with a Fitbit health coach to understand how stress is affecting them and access resources and guidance to support their ongoing mental health needs.
Custodia Financial announced enhancements to its Retirement Loan Eraser program, with two new, lower-cost coverage levels. The new options expand upon Custodia Financial's original Full Repayment option that repays a 401(k) borrower's entire outstanding loan principal if he or she is laid-off, becomes disabled, or dies. The two new options are Continuance: Six months of loan repayments following involuntary separation, providing a "bridge" while the borrower secures new employment; and Continuance + Full Repayment: Six months of loan payments followed by full repayment if the participant remains unemployed.
CPA.com with The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), and CaseWare International announced OnPoint EBP, a cloud solution designed to facilitate "limited scope" employee benefit plan audits. OnPoint EBP is powered by the CaseWare Cloud platform and designed for audits of employee benefit plans pursuant to ERISA Section 103 (a)(3)(C). It combines AICPA-developed methodology, engagement management, analytics, client collaboration tools and links to guidance within a single application. OnPoint EBP is commercially available to all firms through CPA.com and may be used for ERISA limited scope audits both currently and after the adoption of SAS 136 Forming an Opinion and Reporting on Financial Statements of Employee Benefit Plans Subject to ERISA.
ConnectYourCare announced the release of COBRA Administration for Dummies in partnership with John Wiley & Sons, Inc., publisher of the best-selling "For Dummies" book series.This new book, written for employers, benefits specialists, and HR personnel administering COBRA—as well as benefits brokers and consultants assisting their clients—aims to simplify the complex nuances surrounding COBRA, formally known as the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act. COBRA Administration for Dummies, ConnectYourCare Special Edition is also available for download.
Catapult Health announced its new Virtual Checkup, which brings the clinical preventive care appointment to any location. It incorporates a home kit for blood testing, key measurements, medical history, depression and COVID-19 screenings, a virtual consultation with a nurse practitioner, plus a personal health report. Prior to each visit, participants will be mailed a kit filled with visit-specific tools and simple instructions. This is followed by a virtual visit with a board-certified Catapult Health nurse practitioner who discusses results, delivers depression and COVID-19 screenings, and helps create a personal action plan to be shared with participant and their regular physician. Catapult Health Virtual Checkup is available starting September 1.
Atlas ID announced its COVID-19 Risk Mitigation Platform, which offers employers multiple tactical options to reduce risks posed by the virus and the ability to select specific tactics for their respective workplace needs. Individual employees maintain control over their information. A blockchain-based audit trail offers the option of an unalterable record. It works with all government-approved diagnostic companies and will integrate with all major HCOs and EHRs.
Alegeus announced its Smart Account Mobile App. The Smart Account experience combines all benefits aspects into a single, intuitive solution. It offers data-driven tools, AI-based recommendations; a Find Care feature to help in selecting in-network providers based on patient scores and ratings; a virtual medicine cabinet; long-term savings recommendations and more. The Smart Account Mobile App is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
