The Great Resignation and quiet quitting have been filling up the headlines recently. Even with a potential recession looming, people are continuing to quit their jobs. But which industries are affected the most? New research from SmallPDF shares which industries lose the most employees from quitting. Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics is analyzed to find each industry's quit rates (the percentage of total employees quitting each month), and quit levels (how many total employees quit each month). The accommodation and food services industry, which includes fast food workers, waiters, and chefs, saw 5.8% of its workforce leave between April and August 2022. "The news has been filled with stories about unionizing within companies, striking and more due to wages and treatment issues from employees, and this data highlights which industries are losing the largest part of their workforce," says a spokesperson from SmallPDF.
