PA ranked number 7 in the overall adult rankings, despite not ranking in the top 10 of other categories, except for "Access to care" where they reached number 10.

Mental health continues to impact employers and employees alike. An estimated 12 billion working days are lost each year to depression and anxiety at a cost of $1 trillion to employers. As a result, mental health remains a top concern for employers and benefits advisors as they consider strategies to support employees. The list above reveals the best states for access to mental health care, according to a new report. While  the East Coast has the best overall access to mental health care, Hawaii also ranked high in the standings. The study shared 15 measures used to determine the best states for mental health care access, including adults with mental illness and/or substance use disorders and youth with mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
