Pfizer Inc. and Allergan Plc agreed to combine in a record $160 billion deal, creating a drugmaking behemoth called Pfizer Plc with products from Viagra to Botox and a low-cost tax base.
Buying Allergan, which is in Dublin, could let Pfizer relocate outside the U.S. for tax purposes, a transaction known as an inversion--and of course, Allergan has Botox and the Alzheimers drug Namenda.
