A group of 19 Democratic state attorneys general filed a brief in federal court alleging the Trump administrations plan to roll back a requirement for birth control in employer health insurance plans is an unconstitutional endorsement of religion.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions said his predecessor erred in 2014 by declaring that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, which prohibits sex-discrimination, applied to transgender employees.
Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey is helping to lead the effort to probe drugmakers on their role in the opioid crisis. Counterparts in New York, Connecticut and Vermont are also part of the group.
A group of pension funds accused JPMorgan of turning its chief investment office in London into a secret hedge fund that caused the losses. The company agreed to settle.
