The Rhode Island Senate has confirmed the former chief executive of The Miriam Hospital as the state's health insurance commissioner.

Though brokers and agents had mixed reactions to PPACAs employer mandate delay, one reaction was more collective: shock.

Hospitals on Wednesday said that more changes are necessary under the PPACA now that the administration has postponed the employer mandate for another year.
