Consumers are using AI to find information when they first feel sick, consulting it to prepare for visits with their clinicians and using it to better comprehend patient instructions and recommendations.

A new lawsuit could shed light on how the federal courts interpret the rules for workers with flexible spending accounts who leave their employers.

"Pharmaceutical companies should not take advantage of Hoosiers or any other American -- this includes Lilly, regardless of its Indiana roots," Attorney General Todd Rokita said in a statement.

Under the settlement, Aetna also will pay at least $2 million in damages to California-based members who qualify.

The lawsuit, filed last week in Alabama's Middle District Bankruptcy Court, alleges that Blue Cross has consistently paid Jackson Hospital lower reimbursement rates than other comparable hospitals in the state.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is seeking what it calls "broad public input" on how it can accelerate the adoption and use of artificial intelligence as part of clinical care.
