The government released the first of what it said would be weekly snapshots of health insurance sign-ups for the PPACA.

Republicans in July voted to sue over the Affordable Care Act, and today claimed in a complaint filed in Washington federal court that the president exceeded his powers when he delayed one of the measures central requirements without a vote of Congress.

The disclosure by HHS that it accidentally added 380,000 people in dental plans to enrollment figures under PPACA provided a new opening for critics.

Without the dental plans, the federal government would have had 6.97 million people with medical insurance under PPACA.

U.S. health officials have reported no technical problems thus far, though some state-run insurance exchanges, including Washington and California, had difficulties.
