Based on the report, it’s clear that CHROs are being increasingly recognized as trusted advisors to CEO’s helping to shape business strategies by aligning talent management with organizational goals.

As the role of CHROs continues to grow in influence, 92% of HR leaders say a culture of listening is crucial for building a positive company culture. Given that HR leaders often reflect the needs of demands of employees, the study reflects that it is no surprise HR leaders are strong advocates for the role flexible work can play in improving key HR business imperatives, such as talent retention and attraction.

“Hybrid working is no longer just a perk - it is a strategic necessity for businesses aiming to thrive in today’s competitive landscape. By embracing flexible working models, companies can unlock greater productivity, attract and retain top talent, and ultimately build a happier workforce,” said Mark Dixon, CEO of International Workplace Group PLC. “CHROs are at the forefront of this transformation, ensuring that hybrid working supports employee wellbeing and progress and drives long-term business success.”

According to the study, 79% of HR leaders believe flexible working is key to retaining talent and without flexible working options, 62% of HR leaders predict a significant decline in talent retention.

As CHROs continue to maintain a strong influence over business strategization, executive leadership will have to grapple with a dynamic and changing work environment, driven by employee needs.
