World Cup fever has taken over the U.S. in recent days, prompting some employers — even those with the most hardline approach to in-office work — to lean into flexibility.

"Changing jobs is a normal part of many workers' career paths, but it can also be an important turning point for retirement savings," said Craig Copeland, director of wealth benefits research for EBRI.

More than 8 in 10 employers are interested in using artificial intelligence to help workers better understand their benefits.

Although more than 7 in 10 workers report thinking at least some about how they will withdraw money from their 401(k) in retirement, just 22% have thought about it "a lot."

More than half of survey respondents caring for a parent spent $5,000 or more of their own money on such care in the past year.

The majority of employees (85%) are experiencing significant workplace stress, almost one-third (29%) fear they can't make ends meet on a full-time salary, and 81% say they have some desire to change careers entirely.
