More than 30% of employees say their mental or physical health has been negatively affected by financial stress, a figure that climbs above 50% among those with the highest stress levels.

"The question is no longer whether mental health support exists," says Jennifer Schulz, CEO of Lyra Health. "It's whether it intervenes early and effectively enough to truly improve lives."

Three-quarters of respondents say business costs are higher than a year ago, with more than one-third describing the increase as "much higher."

To help remote and hybrid talent thrive, HR needs to first reframe its own ideas about performance — focusing on results and output, as opposed to facetime — in order to coach managers to do the same.

"Current economic conditions mean employers are under immense pressure to manage costs while remaining invested in employee wellbeing at a time when their workforce is also stressed," said Todd Katz, head of U.S. Group Benefits at MetLife.
