Many employees, mostly lower-wage and minority workers in essential jobs, are calling lawyers to complain about the required waivers.

Certain plan features are common to those targeted for litigation.

The Arkansas Teacher Retirement System said it had suffered losses as a result of abandoned risk controls on funds meant to weather severe market downturns.

The company is once again facing legal action related to its practice of cross-plan offsetting.

"Work has been my life for the past few months. You basically get a few hours off to get some sleep."
